Welcome to Not The Full Cog 👋

If you’ve ended up here, there’s a fair chance you enjoy old lorries, buses, railways, transport oddities, smoky old diesels, questionable life choices involving long drives… or simply watching old machinery stubbornly refuse to die quietly.

This little corner of the internet exists mostly because I enjoy wandering around transport rallies, climbing aboard obscure railways, disappearing off on solo trips and generally pointing cameras at anything mechanical, noisy or nostalgic.

You’ll find photos, event write-ups, travel ramblings, favourite moments from rallies, transport observations, behind-the-scenes bits from filming, and the occasional thought that probably should have stayed inside my head.

Some posts may be useful.

Some may be mildly educational.

Some may simply involve me standing in a field somewhere, waiting for an elderly diesel engine to clear its throat.

The YouTube channel is where the videos live.

This is more of a scrapbook — somewhere to document places visited, things seen, thoughts had, and machinery admired (or quietly mocked).

So whether you’re here for classic lorries, buses, transport nostalgia, strange railways, road trips, Doug the Scania, or just a general appreciation for old things still stubbornly turning…

Welcome aboard.

Missing a few teeth, but still turning. 🚛
